Class of 2017

Paul Tafoya - Paul began his Post 6 career at age 15, playing all four years with the Sixers. Paul finished his Post 6 career on the State runner-up squad - managed by Tagg Lain.  A graduate of Central High School, he lettered 7 times between football and wrestling, as well as being a 2-time all-state wrestler and state runner-up his senior year. After high school, Paul attended the University of Wyoming for a year before deciding to pursue a career as a firefighter.  He served time in the Wyoming Air National Guard until 2007 and did a tour in Baghdad, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He currently works as a Crew Chief in the Air Guard Fire Department as a civilian.  Paul continues to live in Cheyenne with his wife Jessica and their 4 children.

Trevor Ziemann - Trevor played for the Post 6 Eagles where he learned the game of baseball and the way it should be played.  After his Post 6 playing career, Trevor received a scholarship from Colby Community College where he excelled as a two-way player (OF/P).  After his days at Colby, he attended the University of Nebraska on a baseball scholarship.  After his playing career ended, he returned to Laramie to attend the University of Wyoming and completed his bachelor's degree in Business Administration.  His return to Laramie allowed him to also return to Cheyenne and Post 6 with the opportunity to join the coaching staff.  Trevor is forever thankful to the game of baseball and all the people who supported him through his journey.

Tagg Lain - Tagg Lain began his coaching career in 1987 as an assistant for the Hawks. In 1991, he was named the Program Manager. After the 1994 season, he left the program and focused his attention on basketball and track and field at Central High School. While there, he led both squads to state championships in 1998. After this, he returned to the Legion program to build a dynasty in baseball as his singular goal. After coming off its worst year in program history in 1997, three years later Tagg led them to a runner-up finish at the state tournament. In 2001 Tagg guided Post 6 to a state championship. This began the longest consecutive State Championship streak in Wyoming history with 7 consecutive titles.  That streak ended in 2008 with a runner-up finish. However, he led Post 6 to another championship run from '09-'13.  In 2015, Tagg's final season, he led the team to another championship, the organization's 14th under his direction. In his 22 years at the helm, Post 6 won several Legion A and B state titles, finished runner-up in the Northwest Regional 3 times, and won over 990 games.  He has sent countless players on to play college baseball.  He has had 4 former Post 6 players drafted in the MLB Amateur Draft and seen one of them get to the major leagues. Through his guidance, Post 6 has become synonymous with excellence in baseball around the country.
