Ben was part of a 3 year stretch (2020-2022) where Post 6 went 188-51. Ben was a part of 3 state titles and a Northwest Regional Runner Up in 2022. While Bohlmann’s biggest impact was on the mound, he did provide elite play in the outfield for Post 6 over those years. His speed and range turned his section of the outfield into a no-fly zone. His time in the lineup produced a .346 batting average and an electric base stealing presence. Bohlmann was successful 95% of the time as a base stealer. But it was on the mound where Ben provided a power arm to the Sixer staff. His ability to start and pitch in high leverage bullpen situations made Ben a major weapon for manager Ty Lain. Bohlmann threw 166.2 innings while striking out 187 hitters and pitched to a 2.71 ERA. When Ben pitched, Post Six usually came out on the winning side with him going 22-4 and was perfect in save opportunities. Though Bohlmann was used out of the bullpen much of his postseason career, due to his ability to pitch on short rest, he did have 3 big time wins in the 2023 run that ended with Post 6 as runners up in the Northwest Regional and a top 16 finish in the country. At the state tournament that year, Ben came out of the bullpen against Sheridan to earn the win in game 2. Then Ben bounced back 2 days later to pitch a CG victory setting up a State Title win the next day. Later in the Regional tournament, Ben was tasked with the bounce back game 3 after The Sixers lost a heartbreaking 3-2 game 2. All Ben did was throw 4.1 of 4 hit baseball, giving up 2 runs (1 earned) to earn the win and propel the team into a deep regional run. Bohlmann is pitching his sophomore season for the Colby Trojans in KS this season where he is expected to be one of their big arms. Good luck to Ben and the Trojans this season as they look to dominate in 2024.
